Xray is one how wanted to have 4 cell spec.
I think they are more than happy to build a new chassis and make new money...

I'm happy in some point. My battery is about die-out and need to replace. I run TA05 for over a year now. So this change is not killing my investment as it paid out already. However I do feel sorry for those guy who just buy new car for this winter session, as they probably will need to follow new rule in middle of this winter session.
Is new rule take effect on Jan1, 2007? Anyone can confirm it?

IMHO,
5 cell is the perfect interim step. We are the crossroads with new technology.... the cars are getting faster.. and we are losing new racers..
5 cell will slow the cars.. only a little bit.. but enough for electronics to be more reliable, the cars easier on parts.. It will keep all 3 TC classes viable. This step will give the sanctioning bodies some time and feedback on which way to go.
All the current chassis can still be used... maybe new bottom plates... Off Road will still be viable too....
The 4 cell camp says it is not enough.. .the 6 cell side say it not enough.... right in the middle....

I really don't think 1350g is easy to make....

First of all: Sinterd rotor IS a bomb proof; it is now illegal??
Will this reduce cost level, NO.
does sintered cool down the speedo; YES
Are brushed motor history, YES.
Are the cars too fast with sintered rotor; no they are not,
The speed of top drivers is not against the sport. It will give more visiability to our hobby.
Racing is all about going faster thru the whole track.

To make things easier we should have the same cell count for all electric classes and in all parts of the world!!
This will just mess things up even more!!
In Japan 4cells, USA 6cells, Europe 5cells
It will be interresting to see what chassis layout the manufacturers will come up with now and what part of the world gets the priority......

I think what makes more interesting is..
JMRCA 4cells 1350g
EFRA 5cells 1350g
ROAR 6cells 1500g
Which one will be faster on laptime in the same track. My $ is on EFRA.
Can we have a DHI cup which legal all 3 rules so we can enjoy to see the fight (and close the argu on who is right on what
)

Stock=slow anyways
19t=just about fast enough
mod=for when I feel silly

Why should off road stay 6 cells? You are limited with grip so you choose a milder motor. Why not simply reduce voltage and select a hotter motor? Capacity is not an issue......

I would like to eliminate motor class rules and use the number of cells to determine your class. 4-cell=stock, 5-cell=19, and 6-cell=modified.
