I saw this run this weekend without the extra cell removed at the Roar Region 9 championship and I was very impressed. Even guys that were against the move to 5 cell changed their minds after trying this... BTW, the winner won using 5 cells.

I was liking the 4 cell mod thing, since I run 12th scale and could share packs... but 5 cell I dunno what to think. Any chassis can be set-up to run any cell configuration I know that, I really am not worried about having to buy a "5 cell specific" car or whatever. Move the electronics around and perfect balance can be acheived regardless.

Hey Jon ,4 cells Mod next month anre you in?? We ran it again yesterday and we are just getting faster and faster , we almost got the gearing figured out Laps are just as fast as when they ran 6 cell mod at the last state race!!! and no tire wear

I may try the 5 cells next month too!

The whole thing has been handled wrong. They should have gone to 8 cells, you could run 4 on each side, and DOUBLE your run time by wiring them in parallel.... @ 4.8 volts.

Now we can have 15 minute mains....

Man... I just watched the video from the JMRCA 4 cell mod touring car race... those cars look slow. Down load the "Movie" on this link. And yes its a 5 min race.

I understand now. We, electric fans have evolved 360 degrees. We have gone from slow to mild to blazing fast and have worked our way back to slow! I understand that folks are concerned with safety, heat, thermalling, crashing yada yada, but that was boring! I guess that whole electric/nitro arguement has given some props to Nitro.....

The look of the guy with the grey sweatshirt says it all!

In the yellow bars within the page, it'll read "Movie2" and "Movie1". I cant speak for what is going with folks here in the states on 4 and 5 cells, but those clips are not a good look for the reduction in cell(s).
