Default Ooey, gooey, sticky foam tires.

One of the tires i trued today isn't like cutting down the tire. It's more like melting the tire, leaving it ooey, gooey and sticky. What can cause this to happen?

What compound was it? How quickly were you trueing it? and was it fresh out of the box?

By compound I meant shore rating. Anyway it is a pretty hard shore but with 20 runs on them and trueing them quickly that might do the ooey gooey thing.

Are you using a tire lathe? Last post you mentioned using a drill machine and sand paper.

Another tire I "trued" wasn't sticky. And the tire that is gooey, is only gooey when its hot. when it's cold, its sticky.

Default Traction compound

What traction compound were you using? were you using tc on only one tire/ or different tc's on different tires, I had a problem somewhat like this using trinity's red dot on dirt oval foams.

The only thing that causes this is making way too much heat when trueing... generally by using a lot of speed and pressure with sand paper or an abrasive drum to remove material... I know cause I have done the same thing
