I'll add that I used to run T&M Racing tires, they wore good and it took a pretty hard hit to break them. That's back when plaid and purple where the tire of choice. Then just out of nowhere softer compounds where faster and the carpet has more traction. It can drive ya crazy.
The T&M's are the spokes that look like the BMW wheels on a real car. Very popular with oval racers.

Where in the heck is everybody? I guess I'll just post to my self and get this baby back on page one.
DANG ONE POST AND WERE BACK UP FRONT AND NOTICABLE.!!!!!
JUST not to waste a post there's a 4300 brushless lipo foam class race coming up at fastlane raceway the weekend of the 9th, You may want to tune in on that. The track is located in Blue Springs Missouri.

I've been running them for about maybe 4 months. They are the best investment I've made sense 10 years of racing.
Same with brushless, simply the longest lasting.
I have 2 4800 packs and an assortment of brushless motors.
A side from tires and bodies. The investment is done and permanent as far as batteries and motors are concerned.
If I get 2 years out of my packs like I've heard other people getting, I'm sold.
I'm guessing the pro sponsered guys will stick with sub-c though.

local track has now allowed 13.5s in the sportsman stock class. after pt series is over at year's end, decision on it in 'pro stock' will be made. personally i hope they just make the 'pro' class an open class. if the big dogs wanna run stock, let em, if some1 w/o a batt deal wants to run their 13.5, 43/58, or 19T in same class, let em. others still have been playin with BL4c, and that was impressive too.
but we put 1 of our young racers, new to onroad, in with a 13.5/gtb combo and have not looked back (fk05). no motor work, hone in on a gear ratio and 4get it. very very nice, if lipo gets there (and it will) the thought of even less gear to 'schlep'....very nice. anythin that reduces workload and extends runtimes, on top of reduction of cost. W00t!
i still have reservations bout the 'N' Brand goin back to old times...but its hard to ignore the current product and how well its workin.
keep it up

Ult At our track the pro stock guys have welcome in the 13.5s Pro stock is really open stock, if you know what I mean? It's great racing as well as great testing in an effort to define the clases between brushless and brush. It appears pretty fair. Wear one is dominant the other is'nt, any how gotta go great post. Read you later.

AT FASTLANE RACEWAY:
We run a brushless lipo foam.
Any car any foams. 3200 & 4800 lipo's & 6cell sub-c up to 4200.
LRP SPHERE OR NOVAK SPEEDO"S ONLY.
Any rotor is ok.NOVAK 4300 motors' only
I'm talking some very close racing. Just some thing to throw at the reveiw panel. Inexspensive, on a buget racing.
We dont mix any thing with this class it's become a breed of it's own.
Just enough tunability to give you somthing to play with in the speed dept, on a fair playing field. Might give it a try, it's been fun.

Money's on the GQ's. Later.
I'm going to go read myself somemore.

OK I'M GEARING MY 4300. I GEAR IT TO 130 DEGREES. (SINTERED ROTOR)
IT TAKES A 20 TOOTH PINION TO GET THERE.
NOW I PUT A 21 ON IT AND THE TEMP STAYS THE SAME. NEXT A 23 OR SO ON. THE TEMP DOESNT CHANGE. IT SEEMS 130 OR 140 IS AS HOT AS IT GETS. NOW THE MOTOR FADES TOWARDS THE END OF THE RACE. NOW THE QUESTION OBVIOUSLY THE 20 TOOTH IS THE MOST EFFICIENT TO THAT TEMP. AND ANY THING OVER THAT IS JUST OVER GEARING THE TEMP IS GOOD BUT THE EFFICIANCY IS BAD. CHARLIE TOLD YOU WE STILL NEED YOU.
THE PERFRMANCE TEMP IS HARD TO FIND AND I'VE ONLY BEGUN TO RUN THE SINTERD. HELP CHARLIE I'M GETTING DIZZY.
