no it will never, new kits every 6months, new batts every 3, new dischargers, new chargers.

most of this money is better spent on tires and practicing. ;)

I'm guessing it will basically be the updated VFS-1 Pro Competition 2 that KO brought to the worlds. Updates include CPU and mapping to help with the recent advantages in cell and motor technology to give a more efficient drive frequency.
Has anyone got anymore info on KO's new shottky diode pack btw?

I don't think this will sell for more than $212USD.
the 2.1 already sells for $140 or less from Tower.
even cheaper with the discount code.

My thoughts exactly. Practice is priceless.

JamesArluck 10-30-2006 11:09 AM

I wonder if Hara will actually use this one?

the difference between the 2.1 VFS and 2.2 VFS (for any company rebadging the VFS line of escs) are the following:
- remapped drive frequencies adjusted for today's motors and batteries (i.e. more punch)
- new FETs for better performance
- drag brake feature for stand up, or laydown brushes.

rcnewb2004 10-30-2006 03:27 PM

I wonder how the drive frequencies will look like.... compared to the pro comp 1. damn i barely ran the pro comp 1 even 50 times.

there are new FETs in it? i wonder how do those improve the stats, the ratings for other things were the same

Sorry, what's the difference between standup/laydown brushes such that it will require a different brake feature?

If everyone stops buying. Then there will be a slow down.

I agree with you that we should spend more $$ on tires for more practice. Practice can surely cut down more lap times than new stuff!!! (I'm still running on 2yr old 3700s  ,waiting for my IB4200s WCE)

offroader 10-30-2006 09:05 PM

do you need to buy a external module to program the frequencies and brakes etc? what is the part numebr for this?
