Thumbs down How Much Is That?!

Are Tamiya mod/stock motors really that good? It's so expensive.
Any thoughts on them as to why they cost so much or any true life experiences to share about their motors?
thanks.

Why are you even looking at a Tamiya mod/stock motor?!?!
Go for trinity or reedy or orion or fantom or something, get a motor ppl use! Personal recommendation, Axiom mod/stock motors. www.axiommotors.com

tamiya 23T japanese stock are good.but there's not much too choose between stock motors.
they have type T,R,RR etc.
RR=rebuildable race.
so it's the fastest.
if these are way more expensive than others like yokomo or kawada in ur area..forget them.they are just good and competitive.not better.i guess they're expensive either bcos ur LHS is ripping u OR the brand factor.both these 2 reasons make tamiya stuff MUCH more expensive in my place.

The Tamiya motors are well made and seem to perform quite well..I think You are paying for the Name though. Try the Trinity D5 Flatliner I am very impressed with mine Very fast and punchy....It rates as #1 in my books..

There New 23t RR is pretty Quick ..but It's not leagal for Stock racing in the States... .But it a good practice motor that can be geared in the 5.5~6.3 Range and it will RIP .. As for there Mod's.. Stay away from them... theres better ones out there
