Default New Team Magic 1/10 Touring Car Setup System

Has anyone already tried the TM 1/10 setup set ? How do they compare to Hudy Ultimate Set-up set? I've seen the TM ones on my LHS and thy look sweet, specially with their bag.... and they have a relatively attractive price tag...

cheers,
al

I've never used the Hudy, but that one looks pretty sweet. It looks like it's waayy better then the Integy one.

definitely better than the integy ones... 24 ball bearings, pretty sweet finish. only complain I have with it is that the metacrylate bar to measure toe, is only +- 10 degrees, not useful to steering throw... everything else looks awesome.... that's why I was comparing it to the hudy (although I haven't use a hudy before).... it is around the same price, a little cheaper, and comes with the bag that is pretty neat.

I'm not a top notch driver by any means, I have the Integy, which is a bit loose, and it helped me with my setups greatly. I can only imagine how good the Hudy is. This one looks very good, and if it's priced right, it will be hard to beat. How much more is the name worth? Is the degree of accuracy difference (if any) going to make a difference? What can I do with the money I save in a different area? I always try to shop smart and shop honest with myself. Good luck.

Default Bag

Rampal,

Did you say that you have already seen one of these? Did you get the sense that the bag/holder has moldings to hold the pieces from banging into each other while traveling. The newer Hudy system gives you a box with individual areas to keep the parts separate. When I spend 150.00 plus on measurement tools, its nice to keep things in good shape as long as possible.

thanks sportpack for your point of view. I'm not a top notch driver too and that's make me think always on the real value this can add to my driving experience.

corallyman, yeah, I'veen the setup system and its bag. the bag is made like any other TM bag, if you have an F8 or F10, it is the same material, reinforced nylon I think with what it seems internal cardboard to retain its shape. The bag has one pouch for each set part, plus another for the screws.... bag is very neat indeed and better than a cardboard box.... if my LHS allows me, I'm going to take some pictures of it open...

Rampal,

That would be great if you could do that, thanks for the reply.
