Default How do dyno's work?

Just bought myself a much-more Motor Master Surikarn Edition but am struggling to view the concept. I would like to know whether this Dyno shows the output figures i.e what the motor is using to turn into kinectic energy or shows the input what the motor will use to turn into kinetic and hear energy.

I hope you understand what I mean cause I don't lol

The cheap (well relatively) dynos aren't really dynos. They tell you RPM and Amp draw.

A real dyno uses some method of resistance on the motor you're measuring. Slave motor or flywheel are the most common methods. Only by having some (known) resistance can you calculate the power of the motor.
