Tech was awesome as usual. All TQ and Top 3 in each class were held in tech and checked...Including timing on the arms.

This was the first national race I've been too that tech was good but not overbearing to the point of being annoying. They checked to make sure each person before the race had a handout motor and arm installed. Then if you won your qualifier and/or set TQ for the class they torn down your car. I didn't hear about anyone failing tech before or after a race.

As long as a full time tech crew is in place, car width and wing height should be checked as well as weight and ride height.

how about tj bradley pulling his car off of the track after one lap in the third round because he realized he left his 19t motor in his car for the stock qualifier? that's pretty funny. unfortunately, it cost him his qualifier (versus if it were first caught in tech), but we all got a good laugh afterward hearing him describe how much rip he had!

and no. those two motors don't even have the same color can!

truthfully, though, tech was run well. we were all able to get to the line in reasonable amount of time. like howhart, i think that track width should be teched as well.

Back in the day T.J. would just throw a 19t armature in a stock can and run it on purpose. He must be getting soft in his old age

Oooh. You might be better off taking the train. Roads and airports aren't good right now.

Better yet, you have an excuse to actually have a small vacation now. Go visit the WinterNats.

Don't forget to send in any funny pictures to me [email protected] for the Camera Phone Challenge...the winner gets $50.

Also I forgot my list at the tech table for the free 6 month digital sub for all that signed up...

So maybe if anybody wants that they email me their email address...or enjoy this free link while it lasts.
