The competition spec chassis is 2.4MM, not sure what they're using on the prototype cars, but I think it's a similar design.

Looking at the fast laps in mod, it seems like every car is within a tenth. That's a lot of different designs looking extremely even. You've got the traditional style chassis, the Type-R and Cyrul's design all right there.
The Phi is 2.9 chassis and top deck told from jeff brown..The production car is there so I think the instructions and the art work for the box are soon to be done also..Some team guys are getting the parts to build the new car..
But i still dont know anything...

Oh cool, thanks for the info. I'd love to know what the guys who are using the car really think of it after this weekend, especially compared to the standard RDX.

There's also the stiffening plate for the new Chassis. Like the Xray, there's ways to stiffen up a car other than thickening up the chassis. Also, aluminum steering blocks, different arms, durometer of arms, etc. will all have an affect on the stiffness and handling of the car.

The one thing you can count on is the team drivers will always have parts, chassis's that the average joe will never get. People like Jason at BMI bridge that gap somewhat by offering some of those parts.

Hara is running a BMIesque chassis with wings on the topdecks. He just isnt getting clean runs in. THe racing is soo tight you have to drive strapped to go fast, and alot of people are blowing out.

Is it just me or does it seem like the Birds are a little dead this year? Aren't there usually more than 35 heats?

I think this is the first year that there were more oval than onroad. 700+ entries this year.
