I noticed when looking at the entry form that there was a signifigant price increase from past years to this year. Are there any benefits/giveaways/activities that come along with the increase, or is it mainly for the lack of club race?

We went up 10 dollars an entry over last year mainly to cover our increased costs to put the event on. The club race was 10 bucks and many thought it was paid practice. A fourth round (and b-main bumps) is a little added value, along with better handouts, lower hotel rate, free Internet, giveaways, and other new perks we are bringing to the race this year. Hope this answers your concerns.

Starting to get entries in the mail today. Looks like over 200 now. I will start to break them down soon. Talked to the hotel today and things are great over there... they are ready and anxious for us!

We have never sold out until after the 1st... so we have a few weeks I am sure. Our goal is 400 road and 400 oval. That makes a good schedule the way we set it up. Right now it's 50-50 amazingly.

We have 2 great Miss Snowbirds coming again this year to be part of the race. Hollie just sent me this to put on our site:

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone!!!

"Snowbird 'BUMP N RUN' Saturday"

All new this year is a last chance, fourth qualifier, on Saturday giving everyone one more heat race to put it in the show. There will be an additional resort before this 4th round making it even more exciting. Top 9 qualifiers are locked into the A-Mains. Then something we haven't done in years, is run bump-up B-Mains on Saturday. After the fourth round is completed, the mains will be set, and the B-Mains will race. Winners of the B-Main get to make the A-Mains on Sunday. These are going to be totally exciting. Everyone will be watching the racing on Saturday as the B's are run and racers try and race their way into the show! We are very excited about the new format!

LOL do a web search for Hollie Winnard (but don't say I didn't warn you)

The girls will be helping us with the Concourse Sunday and also will be part of the mains and awards. All racers will get a chance to have their picture taken with them. We are working on a special coupon for racers to have a free photo with them and any friends/family that want to be in it with them. Kind of like what they do at Disney and other theme parks - a souvenir backdrop and all...

Default More cool stuff

Also want to mention we are working with Doc Love and RaceTalkLive.com for the 'birds and should have more information on this soon. But they will be here doing their live radio show from the 'birds and broadcasting the racing action to literally thousands of listeners worldwide. Last weekend they were at the Open Wheel Champs RC race in VA and had 23,000 listeners hear the mains on Sunday. We are very excited to be working with everyone at the radio station and Doc Love to advertise the 'birds and RC racing to a worldwide audience.

Here is their site:
http://www.racetalklive.com/

Here is a sample of the radio broadcast from last week:
