For the money, hands down the new Airtronics MX3, for the lastest features, either JR's new R-1 with wireless web browsing or Ko's new Mars R. I've been using Ko's original Mars and it's holding up well with alot of features. I had a Futabutt PDJ or something before that but the variable resistor on the throttle went haywire.

First of all, do the grip test !

For example, the Mars aint suited for people with large hands.

Personally, I find that the high end radios, got more than many people actually need. Often midrange radios will be fine.

KO showed a new radio at Nürnberg: EX-10

i agreed with cole...try a grip test, but dun let it end there...
if the dealer allows, try to hold it in a position tat u hold during racing for sometime 2 c if it stress ur waist...

given ur choice,i would get the 3pk,it comes with the unit for changing the wheel to a drop-down position,...so u can get either the ex1-mars wheel position or the m8 style...

Do what Cole suggested, test how they feel in your hand before you make a decision. If it feels fine in your hand, I'd personally go with the 3PK simply because it is the newest design.

I've heard and seen problems with the Futaba 3PK. It's highly technical radio with great gadgets, but the LCD screen have gone bad due to manufacturer assembly.

Wait for the new K.O. PROPO Helios. You can raise or drop the wheel, put it left or right and ... you can adjust your radio with you P.C.!!!

A lot of good advice here. Any one of the three you mentioned would be fine. The grip test is key and I think programming ease is also key. Given that, I would go with the M8. By far the easiest to program. The KO is kind of small but very light and comfortable. All the Futabas are comfortable. Feature wise, they all have more features than you'd ever use for elec racing. If you don't have any old receivers or crystals you want to use, just get the best deal you can on any of those 3 and you'll be happy.

I would suggest the M8 or Ko propo MARS. A friend of mine has the 3pk and he says it's great! I like it too but just don't like how th LCD screen is!

I was just about to get the 3pk but after seeing the new KO propo I WANT IT. No one around here has a KO. Somebody at my local track has the new 3pk. I wonder what people will say when they see the KO. Is the new KO the top of line KO or is it a mid end radio

R-1 has a new version call R-1 Limited. This is the high response version of this radio. This is just for your information.
