Default LRP VTEC LiPo batteries

LRP VTEC LiPo batteries:

LRP is proud to present you a completey line of all new high-performance LiPo batteries:
- airplane LiPo batteries
- car LiPo batteries
- transmitter LiPo batteries
- receiver LiPo batteries
Get rid of memory effect, special handling or storage with LRP LiPo batteries.
Just charge and drive. Due to their construction, LRP LiPo batteries also provide a significant lower internal resistance then NiMh batteries.
Discharge rate of the LRP LiPo batteries is a sensational 25C

Use of LiPo RX-Packs:

Due to the nominal voltage of 7,4V of all RX-Packs, these battery packs cannot be directly connected to the receiver. Standard receivers and servos are working with a nominal voltage of 6V and therefore will not work properly or get damaged.

To use the LiPo packs as replacement for standard NiCd / NiMH you need the LRP LiPo RX Regulator 6V/5A (Item #45000) to connect a RX-only pack to your receiver. This regulator reduces the voltage to a secure level of constant 6V and will be connected directly between the LRP VTEC LiPo RX battery and the receiver.

4) question`s

1) hard case like trakpower & orion 7.4v pks ye/no
2) why just a brick shape ,
need to make use on the battery slot`s in chassis for the saftey aspect of it all so they stay in car instead of falling out ,
3) how heavy are they
4) how much in please

geez mr jolly
In 1 min of web searching I found the prices of these.
They are obviously not in a case.
Securing a battery in a car is not that hard.
It's a lipo, unless they preload it with lead weights its a lot lighter than nimh.

not even going to tango with you

no it`s not that hard
and it won`t be hard for it to come out ,thus orion saw this problematic situ & came out with lugs on there new carbon pack

i`ve had my orion li-po pk for about 8 month`s & still use it quite often, but i know what it`s short falls are with this box type build (securing incar)
other then that that`s it

if the LRP one is not in a hard case then it shouldn`t go into car racing (to dangerous in being punctured or damaged by side impact
there `s no protection on side of a car from being hit from some else

you might be the best driver on the planet , but it`s the other drivers you must worry about

interesting... these are 25C (for the 1/10 car)... compared to the 20C for Peak/Orion.

sorry, newb here... 25C = 25*capacity ? and I am wondering, if that is true.... it can give killer discharge rates, why does it have a tamiya connector head?

No matter how good these cells are i would never put them in my car without any kind of casing on them, cus it could be just to dangerous....

Nonsens...would make it more real with chances of seeing cars with a smoke trail after them...just like real 1:1 racing
