At a certain RPM level it will run without sensor support, the best of both worlds....

I am sure the heatsink is removable, no worries!

We did run at the Euros without the sensor at the Euros. It isn't a problem. The feel still seemed ok, but i had a little less top speed at the end of the main straight.

It'll be better if the motors had the soldering tabs like the Novak 4.5 & 3.5 motors. It'll be easier for racers to change motors.

I agree, but it is very easy to desolder the motor at the speedo side
Just have wires installed on the motors

The speedo has awesome sensitivity, so it is not a problem to run without sensors!! But, you will not have any kind of RPM limitation so there is a risk of blowing up the bonded motors.....
RPM Limitation is fully adjustable, from 12.500 up to 210.000rpm if I remember correctly.

I highly doubt the system will come with bonded magnets. Most highend brushless systems today (novak 3,5 , GM 4,5 etc) have sintered magnets.

Wouter, unfortunately i have not had the chance to run it off rd. I will hopefully try my GM system at some point. I know Kim S ran the GM system at the GP this year, i think he's been running it for some time. I did chat to him about it this year, but it was over a beer and i can't remember what he said to be honest!!!

As for what magents come with it, depends i guess. GM have bonded magnets, we ran them at the Euros (as did the Orion guys obviously) and they are available for sale. As you say though, i understand GM do sell their 4.5 and 3.5 (if that's avail yet) only with sintered magnets.
