I know we have had some bad experiences at the hotel. No one hates this more than me. But for a race in Feb anywhere in FLA, that has a ballroom, is over 150 a night and most are 200+. I have dozens of emails and proposals to show this. I can only hope these new owners are the real deal. I met them and the sales staff and am encouraged about their commitment to us and the future of the hotel. Least for this year we got a lower rate and a few more perks that will make for a great race in 2007.

i dont like the idea of a bump up because it would suck to qualify 10th but not be in the show

Default Truely a great race!

The Snowbirds race is the rc event of the year....with that being said, some of you really made excellent points in your posts. It is nice to see well thought out and written ideas. Can someone define stacking for me? I have been racing a long time and have never heard the term before. Also, would a bump up depend on who had a better run time wise? Example, the racer in the B main that bumps up had a slower time the the #10 racer in the A therefore he will not get to bump up? Or it does not matter about his performance at all, he just bumps #10 out no matter what...........thanks and I can't wait for this race as I know it will be awesome!

[QUOTE=Ginsu] Can someone define stacking for me?

would be if mike went back and took last year A main drivers and put them all in the same qualifier. the guy who finishes last in that qualifier would still make the A main because of the caliper of drivers in the heat race. instead of a mixed bag of skill levels they would all be A main caliper drivers in one heat.

stacked means the odds are stacked against you making the A main because the pro drivers don't have to pass joe racer every other lap and they run faster.

bump ups can be done in many ways...mike wants to lock in 9 drivers for the A main...and allow the winner of the B main to bump into the # 10 spot for sundays A main final. i like the idea...i would vote for a D main bump as well, lol.

9 + 1 or 10 + 1, it really does not matter. just make sure all the nutritionally advanced guys have plenty of driver stand to stand on. Don't need anyone on steps this year.

while we're at it, since these a-main guys are so good - how about inverting the field. let's see some racing. whole field, half field, roll a dice..
