Post Corally sp12m "Ahoniemi Euros Spec" understeer problem

Hi

i have just switched over from using a CRC T-Force 12 to the sp12m, i'm using silver front and gold rear tyres running on a high grip indoor carpet track with 3.5mm front and rear, medium spring on the front, light spring + 20w on shock, Standard T-Bar, rear holes on tweak bar.

Since i have switched cars i have been suffering a major amount of understeer in comparison to the CRC or even the AE L4 witch is the prefered car at my club.

Can anyone help me with maybe a starting setup for the car to be used on a very large but very tight and twisty indoor carpet track. I would ask the guys at my club but none of them have every had a Corally.

cheers
steve

Try running a stiffer rear spring to increase rotation try the medium rear spring .... assuming your understeer is on-power. If it's off power, you need to go to softer front springs.

How is the car through the rest of the track?

Would probably look at tyres - try corally silver star fronts and or Pink rears. I generally always ran the front spring stiffer and rear tweak softer than you've been running - so i wouldn't go any further on those.

Cheers
guys for your tips, i'll try your tips on friday night at my club, hopefully it might be the problems with the spring combination as the understeer occurs during power off rather than power on.

thanks
