BodyShell choice for rubber on carpet?
In-door season will soon be here and I was just wondering what the choice body will be for carpet racing with rubber tyres.
The DNA looks a strong choice for foams and last year the mazda 6 was a good look, has it changed? |
Parma Type M and PF Mazda 6 were the top choices at the IIC. I read that the DNA might be good for rubber tires too, but cannot confirm it.

Ran the PF mazda all last year, gonna try the dna soon.
Well done Jimmy on the 3rd. Thats a great result at such a big event, you gonna come down to kent this year and have a go at the carpet wars? I thought the DNA was to choice shell for foams as the front is kinda harsh? |
Parma M...

I used the PF G6 for indoor rubber carpet racing last season with great results, which makes me believe the DNA shoulf fair fairly well on carpet. The PF Mazda 6 is always a good choice, but the Parma M looks promising. I've ordered a pair of M's to try out.

I found the G6 unstable on the rear, PF Mazda 6, great all-round carpet/rubber shell, in fact I got some more for this year!!

Wasn't the PF Stratus Carpet being used at all?
Or wasn't it allowed? |
Allowed for what?
Here in the UK, it can be ran at any brca meeting. This parme M sounds like a good choice. What about the PF Cadi? Or maybe the Moorespeed Type M Shell, but with which wing? |
The Protoform Mazda 6 and the Parma M type are great. The Parma has a little more downforce than the mazda. I find it to turn in slightly harder, but be more stable around the middle and exit of the corner.
