Default which 27T motor to get for racing?

Hi, I am new to electric. I want to start racing novice. what is a good 27t stock motor to get? I have a 415 MRE edition and novak GTX? Any massaged motor? (in gas car, we have JP engine Rody modified) Are there any motor that will require less servicing?

I have been racing 1/10 nitro sedan for a few years. I will be racing at socal raceway. Thanks in advance.

Pick up a CO27 Pro and start learning to tune the motor. If you are new to electric, you have some studying to do. The Pro version is a bit more "tuned" and has the numbers posted for the motor, so buy the one with the "best" numbers you can find. The motor still needs to be "worked" in order to be competitive, however, since the sportsman drivers at SoCal have their motors working really well.

Get friendly with the sportsman guys in stock at SoCal and over time you will learn what you need.

Good Luck!

I dont know the track, but consider if you need torque or rpm and buy a motor from that decision. Fast flowing tracks typically need more rpm, twisty tracks favour torque, where you need the power out of the corners
