"c" rating question on li-po batt's
had a question on what the maximum c rating i could run on a 2s lipo im running a photon , trinity d3, tekin speedo on rubber\asphalt . i am currently running a smc 4100 24c. will higher c rating also induce more heat?

Yes.

so would a higher c rating yet having to gear slower, be a change worth doing? will car have more speed overall?

Justin glad u see u made the TOP CHOICE . What turn motor u running if Ur running a 21.5/17.5 spec anything higher than 25-30 c is just bragin rights. But if Ur doing boosted or low turn motors. Higher c packs will deft make them last longer.
See The lower c packs build heat and endup with a slightly higher voltage into the run unlike a equal mah higher c pack but the higher c pack will over time outcast the other pack .
On the other hand the higher c packs can be charged at higher amp rates to build heat and get extra V out of them into the run as well but again it puts more ware on the packs.
Hope this helps.
Imo I think higher mah with just enough c rating to keep it safe is more important.
In spec 17.5 I run 5600+-25c (thunderpower it wasn't cheap)
In boosted I run a 6200-60c (Promatch $70)

thanks , jlfx
thats a big help i am running 17.5 non boost so will make my batt buying decision a lil different i was undre the impression i needed more c so maybe just a higher mah will be the way to go. Reason i was currious about temp is cause i am running pretty warm as is 150 deg. on a warm day.
