andrew

modeltech were selling them. go on home page and just keep scrolling down.
or cheeper still i use one of the small adjustable table lights they have a 12v halogen bulb in. if you bypass the transformer in the bottom and put crock clips on or what ever you can run it of a battery or power supply but leave the transformer in the bottom or it will fall over about a fiver from b and q

The knock-off works just fine. a third of the price of the real ott-lite.

My knock off from Wally Mart cost only $9.99 and has lasted me more than 5 years.

I bought a cheap folding gooseneck fluorescent at Canadian Tire for $9.99 (they didn't have Ott-lites at the time)and the joints are too loose..it won't stand on its own...

Thanks for the heads up..I'll be picking up my Ott-lite tonight!

You guys just reminded me.. .. I dropped my Ikea desk lamp I used for pit lighting and it buzzed and dimmed all the time.. wanted to buy a new one, just didn't know what..

Went to Crappy Tire last night, they had 3 black Ott-Lites on the shelf.. $50 CDN plus tax here.. Slammed down my $26 in CT money to pay for some of it, it took a few minutes for the cashier to count it all.. hah.. the people behind me weren't impressed

Had a XXX-main carbon-fibre sticker sheet just big enough to cover the whole inside white area.. looks pretty sweet.. I don't think the white would stay white for long with my often-blackened tire-sauced fingers..

The light quality is totally different from the halogen bulb from my old lamp.. everything has a cool glow, not as harsh..

Old tread, but maybee an update would do it

What pit light should I go for: MuchMore Led, Orion Led or the Ott-lite?
Pros and cons about led light would be nice as well

I have the MM light.
It packs tight, is bright, but needs to tap into a power supply.

The Orion is all of that, but runs off 120v

Ott-lite are good too, but don't pack quite as small.
