Guys if you don't like it don't buy it. I have always been a HPI fan it was my first touring car. I was very dissapointed in my pro 3 but if what we are hearing about this car is true then it will be very nice. You have to remember that HPI prices their parts and kits very modestly so how can this be such a bad thing. I hope it is a nice kit and I can once again run a hpi.

I totally agree with you. I love HPI Racing. Own a grip full of there kits at one point. I Still have my Pro2 and for what it's worth, it's the best car that I have ever own. Never sold it and don't plan to. In fact, my first touring car was a Pro and sold that to get my Pro2. I recently picked up a used Pro because it was my first touring car.

I guess I consider HPI to be my roots. Although I have moved on and progressed into running other kits, it's HPI that I will run in time again. Progression is not a bad thing.

Making mistakes is how we learn.

Go HPI!!

BTW, I'll be buying a RS4 Rally this month!!!

This is more of a opinion from myself. I am not trying to put down any company. But shaft drive have been around for all these year. This drivetain is so efficient.

This is just my experience with HPI. I still have a Pro 2 (Cross Version) as a collection. Pro 3 is just too expensive compare to others.

if HPI's car takes care of chassis tweak, and torque steer, it's should be just fine. Copy or not......these are the two biggest problems with the TC3 with the main thing being the chasis tweak.

that could mean that HPI wants to get into building tanks or plastic models though

Good point...but I have yet to know any one that has stripped the 39T or 16T diff or one-way gears

but as far as spur gears go... without the square or one flag.. you'll mess up spur gears left and right

JDM_DOHC_SiR,

Barracuda R2 looks sweet. I know people wore out those gears and not strip by crashing. This is something very common with EVO 3.

Have you try this version of Barracuda before?

Pro4

If that pic is of the new Pro4, I don't know if I will get one. I allready have a tc3. And I really like the HPI cars. Raced a F1 graphite a few years ago and it was a really great car. And I currently race a Pro3.

Anyone know if there are any improvements on the Pro4 that would make it better than the tc3? Maybe if it sells for a good price and doesn't need to have alot spent on hop ups to race well. Will it have saddle packs? I think that would be a good improvement over the tc3's layout.

Looks like a really good car anyway. But I haven't given up on my pro3 just yet. I can do well at my local track and I like the batteries down the center and the fact that I am the only pro3 there. Kinda makes me feel like the underdog. Feels really good to win my share of the races too.

Hope HPI does good with the Pro4.

Thanks
Rod

It looks like it is going to have adjustable roll centers simialr to the 414 or evo 3 or the xxx-s. You can do this on a tc3 somewhat but it is a real pain. Just that adjustment alone will make it a nice kit to play with.

Sure have the R2 is a huge step up from the normal barracuda.. it comes with all of the things that the 'cuda' should have in the 1st place and handeling is very neutral and balanced

According to Thad...it will have all the bells and whistles. A very race worthy car.

OSherman-- expect to see a composite chassis with sealed gearboxes.... it should pretty much look like an HPI TC3.........

Maybe they will do something cool like inboard shocks like the tenth tech car!!!!!
