Default A conversion kit will be nice for a change.

<talking to himself>In fact, why don't we stock BMI? I should look into that</talking to himself>

I believe there will a conversion available for T2 owners if they are so inclined. Not to worry.

I hope the price will be reasonable.

The 007 is completely different than a BMI. The top decks are what is slammed and is not even close. The reports are that it doesn't lose any speed in the corners. Super thick chassis also, 3rd thickest that I have seen produced.

Oh finnally that T2 is getting so old!

I hope they remold all the suspension parts again so our local hobby shop will be stuck with T1 and T2 parts and be waiting for T2007 parts after everyone buys there new kit!

Just jokes.

But man chassis are dropping faster then PC video cards

TC has maxed out for me on expense. I know many are quitting RC because of it.
It's not just the price of the car, it's everything else that needs to be updated to stay somewhat competitive. That is the reason why I have given up the hobby. Just couldn't justify spending that much money anymore.

If Xray pushes pricing over their current already high price, I'm done. The high TC prices are killing the hobby.

It's not just Xray...all the companies are to blame.IMO

The car should be using all the same suspension. Haven't looked at the bellcranks, but they may be different due to the lowered top deck.

You can find great bargains on used XRay cars that are only a generation old. People unload the kits and lots of parts for an extremely reduced rate. I'm painfully aware of the burning desire to have the latest and greatest, but you certainly don't have to do it.

The 007 I had the pleasure of witnessing should've been the T2 US version from the original T2 launch. The top deck is much lower as stated (same layout), but it's also very clean, very Xray, and less MSX/Cyclone looking. Bottom was at least 3/3.5mm with no flex tech, just solid CF. Not sure if it'll come that way, but it should for the US market.

It was christened T2: 007 Carpet Spec. 3/10th faster per lap. If you don't want to buy it, you don't have too, but this technology may be passing you in the turns. It's the YagerBomb!!! It'll give you wings ... actually, it gave me a woody

At least you have a company (XRay) that is putting money into their vehicles. HPI is totally crapping on us (HPI, not the evil twin HotBodies). As costly as XRay is, it quite obviously has a following. HPI makes "boo-coo" money and releases cars like what, every four years or so?!? Almost like real car companies...at the end of your lease, just when you get used to your car, then come out with something new. XRay keeps it so fresh and so clean clean, that it's dizzying. Mr. Hudy must be related to that guy from Apple with his new Ipod every other month. All that said, don't quit because of "new" technology, run what you have and ride until the wheels fall off. We HPI guys know that we have to maintain until another car comes out, maybe you XRay cats should assist Mr. Hudy with a dose of our medicine. Don't buy every single version that comes out, allow stuff to fester. Eventually (hopefully), they'll get the message and won't release a car EVERY year. Damn, I am hate-er-ating right now!...A new model every year for seven years, damn.

i am HAPPY to hear of the new car!!!! the T2 has been out for what almost a year and half, and i am dreading the idea of going back to carpet, but if i am forced to, (meaning no local indoor offroad and need/want to race) i will get a xray and look forward to the newest one on the market..

I like it when a new car comes out and someone comes up with some absurd amount his laptimes dropped. "I just got the new xyz and my laptimes dropped by 3 tenths a lap!" If that happened, either your old car was a POS and you should really look at your maintenance schedules or this new car will put all the other cars out of the A main at every race it goes to.

At best a new design is worth about .1 seconds. On most tracks, that is between a 5 - 10% improvement, which is a stretch in itself.
