The Apogee 3800 LiMn will also fit in the new car with no modification

Default With the talk of the new Xray facility...

I hope prices don't go through the roof. That seems to be the feel I got from the artical. TC has maxed out for me on expense. I know many are quitting RC because of it. If Xray pushes pricing over their current already high price, I'm done. I love this hobby, but I would rather spend $400-500 on something else. I hope the new car will be within the current T2 range or lower. The high TC prices are killing the hobby. I plan to race spec lipos and stock brushless even if I can't compete. Regardless, I can't wait to see what they came up with this time. I pray for a conversion kit. lol

The T1 to T1Evo2 conversion kit was nearly the price of a complete new kit.

The release of the T2'007 will do nothing to diminish the performance of your existing T2. The release of a new kit is no reason to leave the hobby regardless of the pricing (higher/lower/same)

If your RC budget is max'd out then the ideal solution would be to run what you have untl you are able to squeeze every last bit of performance from it.

Does anyone, who has seen the car, know the reasoning behind them lowering the topdeck?

I haven't seen the car, but I would suspect lower center of gravity for better stability and transitioning capabilities in the corners.

Thanks, I came to that same conclusion but I want to hear from someone that may have specific reasons that Xray wanted to lower the topdeck.

People are always complaining about th high cost of the Xray cars. Yes they are creeping up in price. But do you want to know the worstpart? At my localshop here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the T2 sells for $499.99. The Hot Bodies Cyclone sells for $649.99. You tell me, who is really more expensive? For tht extra $150 I can sure buy alot of spare parts. Maybe not alot of the option peices but I know I'll have all the arms, shock shafts, hingepins, springs, etc, that I'll need for the car. And then I'll spend just as much on the option peices as I would with the Cyclone.

Disclaimer: I am using the Cyclone as an example only. I know there are a few other cars out there that are cheaper and some that are more expensive.

WHY WAIT FOR THE T2 OO7 WHEN YOU CAN GET A T2 BMI WHICH HAS THE BULKHEADS LOWERED BY .5 MM WHICH MEANS THE UPPER DECK IS SLAMMED ALSO.I RAN IT AND IT WAS BALLISTIC IN THE TURNS SUPER FAST. ENOUGH SAID

Xray will continue to stay on top of the TC market by revising/releasing something new EVERY YEAR...get over it, move to another car because most are tired of hearing you all bitch and complain about it.....Besides 95% of the guys bitching DONT EVEN OWN AN XRAY!!!

I could be wrong, but the BMI chassis is thicker and the slots in the chassis put the bulkheads in the same geometric position as stock. The slots also help prevent tweak and make the chassis more rigid. Great car. But I am curious to see what Xray did to the car.

Different bulkheads, flexpoints, etc. The main flexpoint has been moved. All the handling of the FK05 with the turn in of T2. .5mm is 19/1000's of an inch. No beef with BMI, I've seen some of there stuff, top rate.

<talking to himself>In fact, why don't we stock BMI? I should look into that</talking to himself>

I believe there will a conversion available for T2 owners if they are so inclined. Not to worry.

I hope there is a conversion kit. If not I am still going to get the kit. I hope that it comes out before the US Indoor Champs
