Paul-
I'm used to dirt, so the thing really turns. Otto really had it set up pretty well. I just need to run a ton of packs to get the feel for it. Just a ton to learn.
I'll be at Trackside a lot more now as I see my next semester class schedule. Only 2 days a week!

general question for the '007..... Would I gain much going from the diff to the one way and center one-way for stock rubber?

I know I ran a spool in my JRXS and a one-way in my TC3 back in the day but never tried the one-way in the X-Ray yet. Thought, complaints, suggestions????

Generally you will gain some steering, and a lot more corner speed through the middle of the corner. I would just start off by getting the multi diff and setting it up to be a one way. I personally dont have a whole lot of experience with one way pulleys though. In general in the past when you slam a one way in your car and properly set it up, it's good for a few tenths.

imr: that is a hard question. I would choose a set-up sheet from a driver that lives in your reigion of the world and races on what you think is the same or a close surface as you do. our set-ups here may not be what you need.
I would start by trying to figure out how far the set-ups of the 19 turn are from the mod guys, I think that thy would be similar. so maybe even one of Jilles's , victor wilk's, or the meyberg's set-ups would be good for 19t.
thanks paul

Finally got to work on this car!! I have one small question??? I only have 3700GP and 3800IB to test fit on the chassis. It fit ok after I file it down. The question is how much bigger is the 4200IB?? Do I have to file it more to get it to fit better?? I plan to get some new 4200IB for stock racing.

Thanks

I think you should be ok. I'm not exactly sure if the 4200s are bigger or not... but they seem to fit fairly similar when compared to the 3800s

Default About Tweaked 007

Adding another point of view to tweak problems...

I've a 007, and none tweak problems. Some friends of mine bought some from the same shipment and had very wierd tweaking happening to their cars.

The other driver had to remove tweak of the car after every run, and even without touching ANY dots his car was tweaked.
So the tweak changed in the run without any forces, only driving as usual.
Actually I haven't never seen a Xray with such much amout of tweak.

After a lot of checking, he found out that the motor bulkhead was causing this. Screw holes on the lower part of the bulkhead were off, and the bulkhead was 0.15mm to the front of the car.
Now he has spare part and the holes are where they should.
None testing yet, but soon.

Default T2 007 EU Socal Raceway

I have a regular T2 for Pro-Mod at Socal and I recently got an EU 007 to replace my 19turn Car. I put the same setup on my 007 as my regular T2 and the car feels completely different. My regular car is .2 faster per lap and can often set fast lap and now I am .2 off fast lap and losing to yokomo's (yeah it's that bad). What are the inherent characteristic differences between the two cars. What was this car designed to do better than the old car. Is the regular T2 better for high bite asphalt. I do run rubber tire carpet so I could dedicate it to that. However I would think it would be better on carpet and high bite asphalt. I have only spent 4 hours on test and tune but if anybody has a good suggestion to save time I would appreciate it.

Tresfr : Why did you not build the car to instruction settings?

Maybe you should try this first and then adjust as needed.

I ran my new Euro Version 007 tonite and it ran great. I used the same setup for rubber tire / asphalt indoor racing at socal and the car ran great for TQ .

But in the main, the front bearings heated up and melted the steering block and the cvd and bearings pulled out and the plastic had melted. I was leading and had the race in hand , until this happened......

Any possible reasons why this happened ?
