i used to own a t4 .. xxxt xxxtmf2 a b4 a xxx bk 2

Well I was beaten to it but here we go again! I didn't type this for nothing!

If your willing to spend the money it would work! Your getting new bulkheads, a chassis, upper decks and a diff any that is going to be it. You may also receive some new xtra hard arms as well. You still need the screws, mounts, possible a shock tower if you don't have them, battery strap, hubs, spindles the works pretty much. By the time you add it all up it's not worth it. The belts remain the same but honestly as soon as you add it all up, you might as well picked up a used T2 or a T2R or put out the expense of buying a new car. I don't want to really say this but you best bet is snaging a new kit. If you have a T2 that's great, just bolt it on and go. If you have a T1, Evo, Evo2 freedom of choice, T1r, T104fk, or a Fk05 it's not going to work to well without putting out addition money that could be used on something else. Hope that helps or hinders!

AC,

yep.. Actually Tim and I have ours on order already. So hopefully we get part of this first batch. But I doubt it..

It is not keeping up with Tim.. Be nice to though.. I had just gotten my FK05 right before the T2 came out. With the history of xray, I knew another one would come out around Nov or so.. So I waited and got my moneys worth out of the FK05.

Time to see if I can move up a notch or 2 with a potentially better car that is designed for carpet.....

There is a post a while back that compares and contrasts the Fk05 to the T2. It breaks down all the parts from what works and what doesn't. I recommend checking out Team Xray (http://www.teamxray.com) and check under the T2 model and see if you can locate a comparison chart. I'll take a look myself and if I happen to find something, I'll edit this post and give you the link.
You are looking to spend around a good $150 for parts to make it work on top of the conversion kit. Whatever you don't use can be sold off to justify the expenese you are out putting though. Meaning if you desire to, just sell off the remains of the car and somebody will snag it in time. Just a idea. I'll dig around and see what I can find that works from a Fk04 to a T2. It's not going to be much, but it's something if you are serious to do this. Best of luck..

Only the diffs, and belts and some screws will work on T2. Buy the rest at a spare part cost and you are looking at $800 . You are out of your mind if you really think about this... it must be some kind of joke

I was being a little snarky at first, but the responses were very interesting and informative, and I do thank you guys for taking the time to share them. The FK04 still very popular at our track, and I imagine many of the guys will be interested to know it's at least an option. Several of them frequent this thread to stay current on the latest XRay happenings, and no doubt others have wondered the same thing.

So, you see, even though it's possible I had nefarious intent, I still managed to help disseminate information for the greater good of Team XRay. You may kiss my hand if you'd like.

The cars are in transit to RCAmerica, from which point they will work quickly to turn them around and get them out to hobby shops who have pre-orders.

If you haven't done so yet, I would suggest getting a pre-order placed to help assure you of receiving a kit from the first batch.
