I don't know your skill level, but everything depends on that. I know that if you really want something there will always be a way to get it. Meaning you will spend whatever time it would take to find the parts. But if your skill level is an A main driver that doesn't break parts, there would be a difference between the parts you buy. Instead of buying spares you would be buying upgradeable parts to enhance your setup. This is the main reason it is a good idea to buy what your local hobby shop supports, so parts would be readily available if you're a entry level driver or racer. If your an experienced racer you can research and make your own decision because you will not have to rely on your local hobby shop for spare parts because you will be trying to get parts (even if they are from another car) that will shave those 1/10's of a second that is between you and the first place driver. Sorry for the book, but my first answer was generic. I hope I didn't confuse you more.

P.S. another thing is my friend just bought an Exotek chassis for his 09 and the 30 2551 SERVO SAVER PLASTIC COVER - ECCENTRIC that goes in the chassis sticks out. So it makes it impossible to make sure your chassis is flat on the setup board. I was going to buy one for my 08 until I saw this. I am going to see if they make a thicker chassis so the eccentric sits as it is supposed to, to allow the checking of tweak in the chassis.

Gonzo416, Living here in UT for the last few years is like not having a shop that fully supports what people are running. This state is mostly off-road but some of the big distributors/internet people are out here. Breaking parts has never been a problem but when I did race on-road my home track was Ripon R/C Speedway. To be honest, I've never broken a part on my 07'. It's amazing what happens when you're not racing around pieces of wood. I've raced from the original on-road days when the Yokomo J car was out and I'm thinking I may need a new car. The only reason why I'm thinking of just buying the XR07 chassis from Exotek is because of the track out here in UT. By all means it's not completely flat and having the most up to date gear isn't shave that much time off as the track conditiions will take that away.

Then the best way to go is to spend the least. I have run XRAY since I found out how durable it was, so I have stuck with it.

Well lets see some lap times then. It may be dialled but did it go any quicker.

I'm still trying to work out which way to go. There are a few worn parts on my car that is holding me off from buying this chassis at the moment.

The guy that won the A drove my car after the mains and said with a gear change he would have won the A with my car also. Said it was REALLY nice.
I was alot faster with it than what I have been with the stock chassie. Matter of fact my son was going to buy a TC6 and is going to save his money and just buy a Exotek for his 007 now.

Default Alternative spool or spool mod?

Hi there, are there any mods to be done when using a spool in front or is there a good aftermarket one? My multi-diff spool keeps eating the driveshaft blades.

Cheers.

The more I run my T2007 with the Exotek Chassie the more I like it.

This past weekend I ran my XR07 and all I have to say the car was pretty hooked up. I was only able to run the final heat and the main due to some gearing issues. We're runnin 17.5 with a fdr of 3.5. The only spur gear i had was a 108t. Anyhow, the car is as good as always and look forward to running more this summer. I was able to fit the "xray battery strap" with a few modification but it works fine and looks awesome as always.

Raced a 007 1 time. I was so surprised by how it handled. It was just as good as my T3. I sold it for a good deal on a 009 but I think the 007 with the exotek would be better for me than my current 009 set up. 007 is a good car and still very competitive in my book.
