I'm not sure what I should do with my 007.

It needs a few thongs done. Like upgrade the plastic steering to alloy as I seem to break plastic hubs quite easily.

The question is do I do all that and get the exotek chassis or just upgrade to a T3?

i've been racing a t2 008 for a few months now in our local open class, and i now have a line on a fairly cheap 007 locally. it needs a new rear belt, and i noticed the 008 belt wont fit. what would be needed to changed to make it fit (if possible). i have a giant box of spares for the 008

I have some new for me li-po's that are a tiny bit taller than the center chassis brace of my T2-007Eu...am i going to affect the performance by shimming the top deck to get battery fitment? Its a difference of about 1.5mm that needs to be raised to get the cell pack lined into it's "compartment"....

it wont work, the center pivot for the steering will not stay in the top deck, there are a few trays that hang off the side that a lipo fit into

I just put a few pieces of double sided tape under the battery, hang the back end of the battery a little off the chassis, and also tape the battery in as usual. No part of the battery is under the top deck. Works fine.

You can get another top center brace and cut the front off and use it as the shim. That way you can put the center pivot for the steering in it. That's what I did and I am running a 5000mah lipo.

Like this idea a lot...i figured I could just tape it in hanging off but I'd like to keep the pack inboard to avoid any swing weight imbalance (dont know if it'd happen but it made sense in my mind).

Thanks for the idea smokefan.
