Looking for a low grip, asphalt setup for an 007 i just got. I think it has a carpet setup on it. I have a good idea of what oil, springs, top deck, and multiflex points use.... But im lost when it comes to droop, shock angles, and roll centre front to rear. Can someone post here for me? *more cellfone friendly L0L*

Thanks smoke. I tried to get some of those setups but somehow my cellfone can only view a 3rd of the sheet. Do xray drives use mid, low, or hi suspention mounts on parking lot tracks.

What are the avantages in running a front one way? Do I have to be careful not to spin around on braking? I plan to use one next session.

use it on a big wide open layout, most just run the spool so they have 4wheel brakes

It is a very blurry area these days where the one way may be used. On large open tracks with the speed of the BL systems a spool does the job better because you can brake very late and still carry a lot of corner speed. A one way takes away this approach and if you have any corners where you have to back off (like a hairpin), then you're lost. I think at the moment the one way is losing ground fast.

On small twisty tracks again it is very difficult to use a oneway for the same reason. BL systems have a lot of torque and can accelerate massively so preserving speed through slow corners becomes somewhat irrelevant. You can actually floor it, then full brakes on, then floor it again and so on, a very difficult exercise to accomplish without a spinout when using a oneway.

Anybody have any good suggestions for a T2007 for VTA High bite carpet, BTW if I run a cut top deck for lipo clearance should I trim down the front ears to allow more flex on the cut deck?

Same here. I picked up a 2nd hand 07 with a badly scarred chassis. Looks like it was used for oval or something with a lot of left turns on asphalt. I would like to replace it but, first, I would like to hear from someone who has tried the Exotec chassis to find how how well the Xray bits fit on it and how well it runs after the update.
