Default t2 007

Just picked up a t2 007 us spec car kit and have a question. Is the thick chassis good for outdoor asphalt racing? If so what changes do I need to make or do I buy the correct lower and upper decks for the car.

You could try removing the upper deck posts....But I think you will find that getting the 2.5(EU) chassis and an asphalt top deck will work better....The US chassis is 3.5mm thick its ultra stiff...

The Orion packs (3600, 3800 - packs with the bumps on the bottom) fit under the top deck with very minor modifications to the rear bulkhead. If you decide to use a LiPo weight plate (like the Hyperdrive one), then you can use any of the LiPo packs that are flat bottomed (SMC, ThunderPower, etc), since you can slightly angle the pack and affix it to the plate with servo tape.

Default How to make a silvercan fit??

Hi there. I just bought a used 007, (for a v. good price)
How do I get a Silvercan (stock motor) to fit??
I'm guessing I need to do some grinding, just dont want to mess it up.

Any help would be appreciated.

The car is a bit whiney (high pitched) , I'm guessing some new bearing's all round are also needed.

i just filed out the alloy mount slightly with a small round file & filed down the
top deck a bit to stop the pinion rubbing against it.

Default Xray 2007 EU

I'm a newbie to on-road and need to stock up a few parts for my car.
What are the most commonly broken parts of an Xray 2007?
What should I upgrade? What's the part number?
Things I've heard so far:

o) Blades
where do I find it on: Nexus racing http://nexusracing.net/

o) Maybe 2008 caster blocks.
The caster block that I have now is aluminum

What else should I get? Do I really need Lunsford turbuckle?

Get front arms, rear arms, steering knuckles, c hubs, rear hubs, hub bearings. You don't need Lunsford turnbuckles.

Default DIY motor protector ideas???

Hi guys. Anyone here made a DIY motor guard??
Im after some ideas on making one. The original is too pricey locally for the limited protection it seems to give. Just need it for practice/fun sessions.

I've been racing my 007 since it came out without one, in fact I still race it, I don't think it is really needed. Unless you have had a issue with contact?
