Default Anti roll bar

Just got a 2nd hand unused T2-007, will be running on asphalt with rubber tires. Wonder if the anti roll bars are necessary? Wonder why the 008 version comes with anti roll bar but not the earlier versions.

Default Bars

Ive been running the 007 for nearly a year now on asphalt and ive tried all different setups. And have settled on soft springs with sway bars. Its just more consistent. If you dont run them I find i had to change springs as the grip changed. And you run a lot harder springs.
Try
Soft bar on back. Medium or hard up front.
And springs 2.2 or 2.4 on back or 2.4 or 2.6 up front.
Or (old springs) yellow, turqoiuse back, turqoiuse white up front.

Default FDR for 10.5 motor!

Just got a 10.5 Brushless, want to know what's the optimal FDR
for a high speed with some tight corners Asphalt track? I have a
48P/84 and 48P/87 Spur that I've been using for my 4.5R. Any input
would be appreciated, thanks!

try 5.5 to 6.5 FDR for your 10.5 on a 6 cell setup

How tight should the diff's be. Or a good all around starting point for asphalt racing.

for me, it'll depend on what motor your running. if you're running stock, a loose diff would be good. if you're running mod, set the diff tighter.

No, you don't need a belt tensioner on the '007. The composite bearing holders for the diffs are slightly eccentric, so that when you rotate them to the different notch settings, the belt tension changes. This is documented in the instruction manual. I know that they just came out with a belt tensioner for the '008, but I can't see the need for it, unless you need more bling and have money to burn.

I had to cut the left rear "ear" upper deck to make it fit or you can also
use the optional Rear Upper Deck 2.0mm (part #301182) as seen in the
picture here: Hope this helps!

Dan ive got a few 73 spurs on the way to make gearing a bit easier for brushless stock. Im also looking for gearing advice for a sp17.5 . Im starting with a rollout of 58. Does this sound in the ballpark?

Dan, found some info saying start rollout about 36-40. Start with pinion around 23 with 73 spur.
