Joe, do you find you have to tighten the belts as they wear?

Also, I love your signature. I'm pretty new, but I race for modified. I run stock and 19t because mod often isn't run or is poorly attended, but they are rather boring.

I've been trying to set up my 007US mod car for foam-carpet. I'm running 5cell 4.5t brushless. I'm having trouble finding a great, 'dialed' setup. My stock and 19t car (my other 007US) seems pretty easy to get dialed. The mod car, though, seems like it either is hard to drive because it will dig into a corner hard, or doesn't have enough steering, or traction roll. Do you have any tips, and what's your current foam-carpet mod setup?

-Adam

Hey, good news. I just noticed this new setup posted:
http://forum.teamxray.com/xform/inde...8&setup=t2_007

It does some things I've been sort of thinking about to solve the problem of traction rolling and biting in up front when running a soft tire up front. He's running considerably stiffer front damping (5lb stiffer oil, lower outer shock mount point). He's gone to a higher front roll center. He's running the big anti roll bar up front. He's gone to 4deg caster.

I'm definitely trying this setup. Unfortunately, my local club's mod class literally died yesterday, so I won't get to try it until the next big regional race in three weeks.

from Xray's forum:
XRAY 30w (new 450cst) = AE 50-55wt
XRAY 25w = AE 35-40wt

The furthest I have ever gone is 3 notch's in. Thats as far as I have had them stretch as they wear in. This is a link to my set-up from a race today and it was very good.

hope this helps

My local Track closed and i am considering changing my T2 us edition to the euro one. I plan on just buying the Euro conversion, but what will the Multi Diff do for my performance. You have mentioned it in previous posts and i don't understand the difference between the multi diff and the one that is in my car now. I am new to indoor touring and haven't even tried to running it outdoor.

Crewman - you only really need to get the EU chassis, top deck, and the multi diff. to convert your US spec over. Buying the conversion kit, especially with the 008 right around the corner, will get you stuff you really dont need, especially the bulkheads.

As for the multi diff, it gives you the option to run a solid axle/spool, one way, or solid one way. The diff if your car now is just a ball diff and is not the best choice for asphalt or rubber carpet.

As for the track, yes yesterday was the last race at Horsham, but we plan to be in a new building with a new track as a club in the next 3 weeks

Here is my gtb before it was swapped out for the lrp.
The heatsink has been milled down. The novak cap was replaced with the speed passion cap and now with the TOP cap. The brushless motor leads were shortened. Didnt help now with wanting to use the motor for off-road, but I'll find a way to lengthen it!!

My GTB set ups. I shortend the servo, PT, and GTB leads. The sensor wire has been wrapped in protective tape and run behind the electronics.
