You could put a T2/T2R chassis on a 007, or a 007 2.5mm/3.5mm chassis on a T2/T2R. In fact, XRAY titles the '007 chassis "T2 chassis".
You are right. I actually have both, but only now i realised the chassis is the same, although the top deck and bulkheads are different.

Anyone got the measurement for the height between the upper and lower deck?

Thinking of getting the T2 007 but wanna make sure my Maxamp 4400mah Saddlepack lipos will fit under the upper deck.

Chris, Ill take a pic in a bit of my 007, but as for spur and pinion.. you want to be around a 33-34mm rollout with a 10.5. I was running a 114 spur and the max pinion i could go was a 35 which set my mesh perfect. And my tires were at 60mm (Jaco Prisms) so when my tires got smaller, i was screwed, cause i couldnt gear up to maintain that rollout.

But if i was going to race stock sedan, i would be screwed... inorder to get part of both worlds.. stock and 19 turn, you have to get the RW 108 spur, that way you have the range for teh 40ish rollout that th 13.5 calls for.

33ish for 19turn, 40is for stock

After all this discussion about gearing,
Im curious to know what rollout everyone is using for BL 13.5 48 or 64 pitch?

Im trying to get a good starting figure for running rubbers on asphalt.
Ive heard 116 spurs a popular? not sure why

Cristian.

here's mine with a GTB...

switched to LRP TC and the layout is pretty much the same. the only diff would be that the LRP capacitor is ziptied under the topdeck.
i'm using an orion 10.5 so that would be around the same as the peak. i'm, geared 4.9 to 5.1 fdr (rubber/asphalt)

If you are going to run brushlees 13.5 in a 007, you HAVE to get a 108 spur gear to be able to gear high enough for a 13.5 motor, otherwsie you will be slow..... No ifs, ands.. or buts..

Xray does not make a 108 tooth, so you have to get it from RW Racing. If you want to continue running the 46 pitch.. Im not sure who makes a smaller 46 pitch.. i think xray makes a lowest of 82 or 84

116's are popular because bigger teh better for a Brushed motor, it allows for finer adjustment gearing.

We are running 4.6-5.0 on asphalt using a RW 104 or 100 tooth 64 pitch spur.

49-50mm with the 13mm rotor in the Novak 13.5. Yea, it's nuts.

You cant go much about a 42mm rollout with a 108 spur.. do you mean 39-40* cause 50mm isnt realistic with a 007

I'm not sure about the 007, sorry. I'm currently running about 49.5mm (and looking for more) in my R using 108/53. There's some room for bigger pinions yet. The 13mm rotor makes the Novak 13.5 unruly for gearing. :-)

The previous info about gearing has been very helpful,

Just curious to know what would be a better mesh.
an 84 spur with a 28 pinion or
a 108 spur with a 36 pinion

both have a rollout of 38.81
would their be an difference?

thanx
