Rocket Racer...Congrats on your new 007 purchase. In the future when you do not want to go crazy waiting for X-Ray parts,do not bother ordering any parts from your LHS. For some reason a lot of 007 parts are not being shipped from RC America to your LHS.(shock springs, shock spring kits, rear belts and cone washers for the diff.)Good news is Stormer probably has at least 5 of everything....I bet Ashford does too. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Tried fitting a Peak 4800 lipo in my kit... noticed that the pack hits the rear centerdrive bulkhead. because of this the battery sits a bit more foreward than the usual nimh pack. is this ok? won't the pack pe damaged from the it rubbing agains the bulkhead during the normal twisting of the chassis?

what may not be a bad idea is pulling the chassis off your car, picking up a barrel sander bit for your dremel and sanding the webbing between the cells about 1mm.dont go all the way out the side of the chassis.this should allow the pack sit sit a little lower and not casue it to rub the bulkhead

Yeah, you're wrong... I have no problems getting 007 parts.

We have the same problem at SIR, it is a month to two months to get parts from RcAmerica, I don't know how Stormer gets them so regularly, it is getting to be a hassle and I am going to have to buy a couple spares of the usual things (arms, knuckles, etc..) as I can't run my car hard for fear of breaking something specially when that something isn't in stock

SIR has a good selection of parts, they got in a big order the week of the nats.
Lots and lots of steering knuckles, C-hubs and rear hubs.
What else breaks ?

Actually the only thing I have broken yet was a L side steering knuckle, either the chassis is super tough or I have been really lucky. I will have to go down and stock up on some things since they have some in stock

Cool

Anyone got a setup for a track with the following?
50x130, parking lot sprayed w/soda (loose), somewhat tight,
125 degree temperature........my gearing was fine (30/114) but
the car felt really loose. I was using RP-30's and was tempted
to try 32's or 36's. Any help would be appreciated. I would try going
to XRAY's site but usually track conditions are for high traction/super smooth
tracks which is not my case. Thanks for any help.

dave, I've never ran on a hot track like that, but I'm also running on a parking lot sprayed with grape soda, 50x100. I've never driven asphalt on another track, so I can't evaluate the traction, but it seems pretty good. We don't do much sliding - well, at least my car doesn't.

I'm loving KoreyH's setup:
http://forum.teamxray.com/xform/inde...6&setup=t2_007

I made a couple tiny changes to it that seem to make it faster for me:
http://forum.teamxray.com/xform/inde...9&setup=t2_007

What body are you running? That seems fairly important. What motor?
