i only have 2 complaints which really are not a big deal.i would have liked to see more usable camber link location like the cyclone, and for the motor mount have maybe a 1mm gap between the top deck and top of the mount and lose the front screw.symetrical bracing would be ideal for me.

To fix:

1= learn to deal with it
2=just remove the screw and mill the top front of the motor mount down a slight bit to clear.

other than that,it looks pretty sick.

I have to agree with you. Good job to Xray for once again taking RC car technology to the next level. Even better is the fact that I don't feel a need to go buy the latest and greatest (thanks to protc3). Like every platform before though, they'll learn from this one and tweak the next. Then of course, someone will come on here and say that they are .5 seconds faster per lap over their '007 and we'll come on here again and debate that result. Easier to drive? Probably. But if we lose any more time off of our laps, it won't be long before time will stand still for 5 minutes. (I'm sure Juraj is working on that right now in his secret lab).

I had the opportunity to see the '007 run this weekend at Vegas... car looked really smooth and carried a lot of speed through the corners. looking forward to getting my hands on one.

It was offered as an option when he began selling them. He's done is for awhile now on other kits. It's really not suprising to see Xray use it also. With the T2, they seemed to copy alot of the good points on several top touring cars and combine them into their own version.

At the Rain City club race the week before Vegas both Trav and Peter ran stock foam. Trav with the new upper section on his T2 solid 3mm chassis. and Peter with his T2 solid 3mm chassis.
Trav won the first 2 of the triple A's, and Peter couldn't keep up with him, about 2/10 slower.
In the 3 A, Peter drove Trav's car and set the track record for the 5min.run.

The new stuff is an upgrade and not a whole new car, a once a year upgrade is not out of line, Tamiya has been upgrading the 415 for about 4 years now, but the T2 is still a lot cheaper to keep running out front.
A BMI chassis for carpet and now the T2R for $200 that you can use your std chassis on to run outdoors, what a deal! OR an Xray upgrade for my BMI and almost enough left for the std chassis for asphalt. Gunna take a few beers to make a decision like that.

i did it on the first run and then started offering it as an option because it dropped the price by a few dollars and most people told me they would use the battery strap.my 1/12th car,TC4 kit,FK05 kit and Cyclone kit all have had it for a long while.i started it on my 1/12th kit after a few times of the tape getting cut on asphalt a few times and for the carpet guys who didnt want the tape touching the carpet.just another thing to help out the racers.

Wish I knew it was an option....I don't use the strap.

No one bothered to ask me when I ordered both carpet and asphalt chassis kits, that was about 4 months ago, I think. That's cool. I will ask next time.

They also said that it looks like the EU and US versions will be available in the US but they are not sure if the EU one will be available as soon as the US version is. My son races asphalt outdoor so the EU one is more what he is looking for.
He has been racing a T1FK'05 and has been drooling over the T2 and now the T2'007. The cool thing is that he won a Hot Bodies Cyclone in the spectator raffle at IIC. He is going to sell it to buy the T2'007 when it comes out.

That would be .6s faster. And time does stand still some times...
