But still not as fast as Tamiya comes out with cars or revisions to cars. Not to mention all the hundreds of dollars of aftermarket stuff Corally has come out with that is sold as a "must have" for carpet racing. Buy a corally and all the extras and your out 800.00 at least.

Xray will continue to stay on top of the TC market by revising/releasing something new EVERY YEAR...get over it, move to another car because most are tired of hearing you all bitch and complain about it.....Besides 95% of the guys bitching DONT EVEN OWN AN XRAY!!!

Kinda funny you say that....How long you had the Mi2? Do you know the Mi3 will be making its debut next week in Vegas?

No different than xray but xray always gets the bad rap!!

It will be interesting to see if this new 007 will have the multi-flex chassis on it.

How many of those guys were running the many-flex chassis though? Weren't, like, all of them running a solid chassis? Not saying I disagree about the T2 being awesome, but the "Flexray" version that shipped with the stock chassis gave people fits on carpet, right?

Default Xray

I used to run Yokomo but the lack of parts just sent me running for something more reliable. I ran a Corally for one race and sold it aferwards. Just wasn't for me. Schumacher never peaked my interest and Tamiya hmmmmmmmm no thanks. I currently run the FK05 and I'm very happy. In the 19T spec class we run in most of the cars are Xray also. Anything from the original T1 all the way to the FK05 on steroids
Since we dont have the seasonal changes that you guys have up North, the choices we need to make as to what car to get are limited. We only race outdoors on asphalt, track temperature around 90 - 100 degrees on foams.

Still trying to decide whether to get a T2 or T2R for asphalt next year. During this years Open Invitational race at the beginning of the year, we had a participant out of Holland show up with a T2 and he just took off and never looked back. He won the 19T spec class by a wide margin. Did everybody rush out to get a T2, well no not exactly.
As long as the car helps me stay ahead of the competition at a good price with great aftermarket service I'm all ears. All the cars are imported into the island also, so add about 30 to 40% to whatever yr paying for yr equipment, add in something for the currency fluctuations and you get an idea why the hobby can get costly.

As for the constant upgrades and what have you, well I think every company out there does this. The final decision however still lies with the customer.
I guess everybody uses whatever is best for them, but I'm staying with the Xray for now. Oh and that Team Tamale Fan Mount just adds to the overall enjoyment hmmmmmmmmmm. Too sweet.

Don

Well I almost picked up the T2 sitting in the local hobby shop last week. Good thing I didn't, having a car called the 007 is just too cool not to have...lol

I think that statement was a bit harsh! I think as consumers we have the right to gripe about any company if we so choose. However, I don't feel that people should complain because they follow their own impulse to purchase something. You have a choice not to buy the upgrade at least wait until it comes out to see if it is worth it before wasting energy complaining.

The T2 is great car. I am all for making it better.
