I am thinking of seeing if Novak could make a current limiter of 9.4V and run it on a 11.1V pack and man Nimh are history....Cause man the wieght of 11.1V is like 10grams lighter than the standard 4200mah packs...
Get the packs to fit into the chassis I think is first step in the evolution TC lipo/limg cause man the future is now..
I hope they can make a real stock brushless with a smaller ESC and man its on like Donkey Kong...

All I can tell you I tried the LiPo with a 19T and there was no lack of punch for sure the car was too punchy and quick for me... It was better than my SMC matched 4200 for the first run...
Peak voltage means nothing. The lower the IR the more punchy the battery is. NiMH is already history

If you are even slightly interested in this 007, I highly recommended just getting on the pre-order list Steve has going. He will not charge your credit card until you give the go. He only keeps it on file and when he doesn't use it I'm sure he disposes of it. As he did last year, I remember him offer a pre-order on the T2 kits. I hopped on the list right away (friends peer-pressure) but when the shipment came in, I decided to back off it. Steve never charged my credit card, but sent I believe 5 e-mails telling us when to expect them and if you still want to purchase it. I believe this is how he'll do it again. When all else fails, ask him! I do recommened getting on the list ASAP if you think you might even want this car for indoors. I'm sure the first shipment will be sold out without a doubt. Think it over, no pressure, no hassle, it's just acting as a reserve list so you can snag one. Hope that helps. The price will be no were even close to $999.00. I expect it too be around $425+ but nothing over $475. It seems like Xray only increases the kit a tiny bit at a time. The increase ususally isn't over $100 though. That's the trend I noticed and that price is only a guess. Hope that helps!

if the overall CG of the car is lowered by 1/10th that will already be a lot ! 4,5mm is impossible a gain to achieve unless you use smaller battery and motor components because they are the heaviest parts in the car and they don't go any further down with any new design, since they already are as low as can get.

How much was the CG really lowered? Yeah they moved the top deck down but how much does that weigh? All the major components, diffs, center shaft all appear to be at pretty much the same location.

The deck and some bulkhead material has been removed from up high, with additional chassis mass placed low...resulting in a lower CG for the chassis...

The electronics and whatnot will be limited by rideheight constraints for how low they can go.

Default What would put a company like xray over the top would be...

a lipo conversion. Looking at the design, all it would take to flip the battery and electronics would be a motor mount, maybe a different upper deck and some extra holes drilled in the chassis to move the motor mount on the other side. Since there are two peice bulkheads it looks like it would not be hard to do. Heck maybe even you could just flip the upper deck. This option would be mind blowing in design. lol Could a company like Xray do it?

Flipping the motor to the other side would cause your car to drive backwards. I'm sure Masami could do that with his feet tied behind his back, but he doesn't race for Xray so it's left to us mere mortals.
