I think I would just get a BMI chassis. Xray should have kept the motor mount design. Split it up, but keep the same design. I'm seeing a much cooler design in my head now. lol. Same design concept but looks much better. If I only had the tools.

I've got in my hand a team driver's car (assume it is the US edition) and we measured the distance between the topdeck and the chassis and it is around 22-23 mm. The 4800 has a height of 24 mm. that means it wont fit in the new car. the topdeck sits too low. however the apogee 3800 LiMn will fit no problem (the height of that is 19mm)

Ok 2 versions Rubber and foam.

Rubber typically means they will be run outdoors. But what if you run rubber indoors(stock motors). What would be the chassis to pick? Indoor offers high grip even with rubber. Would the CARPET spec run full flex be the right pic or would the UK with full stiffy on be the pic?

Only cat that has rubber indoors on lock is Atsushi Hara. If you got it dialled in, by all means.

The tires would usually be taken into account as the greatest change of traction. Most of the european team drivers running rubber tires on carpet have been using T2 setups, including flex options, similar to running rubber tires on higher grip asphalt. The EU spec kit would probably be the way to go for rubber tires on any surface.

Default This thing would have been killer looking if...

Xray would have kept the motor mount shape and changed the right rear upper deck to look better/beefier. Then keep the T2 stand off positions stock, but added two or three more loactions a 1mm or 2mm out to make it wider. That way people could keep their tweak plates after spending $100 on one. As is the T2 oo7 looks like a BMI or a AE car. They should have kept their own design style and it would have looked killer. Instead they come off as a BMI copy cat when they could have been their own.

I have no doubts that there will be a T3 at some point...but considering the T1 platform was around for 5 years or so...I think that the T2 platform will be around for quite some time still

Default I'll be skipping on the T2 OO7.

I hope the T3 will be more of what I suggested and a purpose built TC for lipo. Heck might as well make it for the current batteries since the electronics weight more than regular cells. Just my two cents. Can't wait for the Orion lipo spec packs. Xray don't....put it out. Fair warned. lol....

I'm kind of hoping that they market it with a driver. That way I can simply send the car to the track, and they can email me and let me know how I did... Save a lot of time...
