I am trying to set up my 007 EU for Rubber tire carpet and I am using Martin Hudy's setup from the snowbirds.

On the sheet there are no screws shown bolted to the front of the top plate at all. Is this correct? Does the plate just hang loosely at the front?

Also, he mentions using a "Option top deck 2mm" what is this?

Thanks.

xray's snowbirds report shows a picture of travis and his car. I spoted an extra pair of rear body posts on the rear shock tower of his car. Is there a closeup picture of his car somewhere out there?

Does anyone have any secret methods of removing a pivot ball out of a link? I know I used a special tool when I raced pan cars but what about for touring cars. I've been just cutting them out and replacing them but I don't have another plastic end to put the pivot ball in if I cut it out. I'll rig something up I'm sure.

I have read this whole thread and have searched throught most of the setup sheets on XRAY's site but have not found specific setups for a US edition kit for rubber tires on carpet. Do I need to get the EU kit for a good carpet/rubber setup? Most of the setups sheets I have found online do not specify which chassis was used. I wish they were more complete.

I am looking for some setups for an US Kit for Rubber/Carpet.

IF you have the USA version then i would suggest setting it in its most flexible chassis settings. I personally run my EU on carpet rubber in full "STIFFY" mode. Wich will cross into USA stifness. So infact i could drop my setup onto your car and likely feel no difference.. U need a oneway though

Put a 'long' screw in the pivot ball and use a plier or something else to 'angle' the ball out.
