Default Charging Li-PO

Can someone help me how do I set the ICE charger to charge the 3 cells Li-po cells for the 3PK? As this is my first time using a Li-Po cells for my 3PK, I'm just a bit cautious.
Thanks

If it is 3 cell lipo, then set charger to 11.1v with the correct amperage of the pack. Make sure you are in lipo mode. Then set your charge rate (up to 1c) and you are done.

Normal charging at 1C:
If your battery is 2000 Mah, then 1C = 2.0 amps
if your battery is 1500 Mah, then 1C = 1.5amps
If your battery is 800 Mah, then 1C = 0.8amps

Charge according to the capacity of the pack, set it at 1C or below. Charging time at 1C is about 1 hour. this is normal for all lipo batteries.

More importantly as mentioned, is to set the voltage to the correct cell count.
1s = nominal 3.7V, charged 4.2V
2s = nominal 7.4V, charged 8.4V
3s = nominal 11.1V, charged 12.6V

The instuctions for the charger tell you how to charge lipos and how to look after them.

It should charge fine.
Just a quick question, does the Logan ,Brendale or the Bayside club allow you to run LiPo's for club meets?
Thanks Drew.

G'day Drew.

No not at the moment - I would be ok to run some tests at Bayside but not in a big race meet or in teh club champs etc.

I am currently doing some testing with the Novak 13.5 in stock at Hobby Station and Bayside with no issues but again not for points and not at big meets. I wanted to do some testing with the Lipo and the 13.5 so at least we'd be reasonably informed to take part in the debate but didn't want to have to buy a new charger as well.

Can I do testing with either the 13.5 or the Lipo at your track ?

You should be able to, I'm running a Maxamps 4000mah in mod, I don't think I will be able to run for though.
Thanks, Drew.

The Advantage Charger charges 2S Li-Po's up to 10Amps

http://www.teamorion.com/Products/Ch...+_+Dischargers

Also the Avionics Flight Charger Will charge 1-5S all at up to 5Amps

http://www.teamorion-avionics.com/Ad...Flight+Charger

Even Our Orion Avionics Li-Po charger will charge up to 3Amps and up to 4S
http://www.teamorion-avionics.com/Ad...Flight+Charger

Just a foot note I would always make sure my charger can charge near 1C for my battery. We've used the Li-Po only charger to charge 3200mAh but I would not recommend it for say a 4800mAh as it will only charge it at 3A which will take a while.

There ar emany Li-Po chargers out there that only charge up to 1 or 1.5Amps and these are made primarly for the Li-Po's you put in your transmitter and I would not recommend them for the batteries you put in your vehicle.

Just an FYI.
