Really??

We are very proud of our Brendale track. We are having our National Titles there later this year which should be a blast. Can't wait for that one.

Just because Australia already has one world title going on there, doesn't mean anything......Italy held the 2005 Offroad Worlds and then the 2006 Onroad Worlds (I believe it was the same club, not positive about that though).....

Japan or Australia has my vote.......mainly because I have always wanted to go to Japan.....and there is someone I want to beat up in Australia....

Hopefully they use a little sense this time and don't schedule it right during the biggest american holiday (Independance Day).....kinda screwed me from going to Italy last time...

Eddie, you're right, it was the AF models club in Italy that hosted both the 2005 off road worlds and of course 2006 on-road

New Zealand has everything Australia can offer and a whole lot more. Just look at all the Travel guides. There is a good reason we are always in the top three of any poll or vote on the best place in the world to travel to.

FatBear - Theres only one track that has anywhere near the capablities to hold the event in NZ - Ruapuna (canterbury RC car club) but we are still a way off and it would be pretty hard to get volunteers to run the event for a week(as awesome as the committee are).

But nice dream none the less

To keep everyone up to date, Brendale is also hosting the 2007 IFMAR Large Scale Worlds (5th scale), so could it go for the trifecta??????
So far the IFMAR crew are very happy with what they have seen

Japan would be good, make sure it's in winter and close to their ski fields.

As for New Zealand, by 2008 their wont be any New Zealanders there, they will all have migrated to Australia, why, becuase it is the best place on the planet. This will mean there will be no-one to run the event.

I reckon either the Sydney track or the New Gold Coast track would be good, think about it, the Gold Coast is probably the biggest tourist point in Aus, so why not use the brand new track (ok it will be 1.5 years old by then) but you get the point, and it could be run by New Zealanders as there will be plenty of them here. Kind of a united front so to speak. Imagine if the Wallabies and All Blacks put together a type of British and Irish Lions team, we would be un beatable, so it stands to reason this would be the best worlds ever....

How about: Korea, or Hong Kong? Great locations to garner media attention.

Seeing you know everything maybe you could enlighten me on which tracks have more capability than Ruapuna to hold such an event. Im sure you will find you are the one who is not in the know... you haven't even bothered to race here before! so how would you know?!
