I wish I could call Integy, but they don't even offer a phone number on their web site. Tssk Tsssk Tsssk. Does anyone know if they are even close to shipping?

90 amp would be pulse, cause a straight linear 90amp would build up way to much heat in packs, pretty vent or blow up a cell.

meh, i see no point. i got the integy 030 discharge tray and its bloody great. discharges a FULL IB4200WC pack in just under 5 minutes

lol, 90A linear, full pack flat in 1.5minutes! it'd prolly explode from getting sooo hot!

So do you just monitor the voltage to discharge until it gets to .9 or 1.0 volts then take the pack off the tray?

when all the lights go out then you take the pack off the tray. i could leave the pack on for 30min and no damage since they have a sort of auto-cutoff built into the discharger circuit. it cuts off at .9v give or take a few millivolts.

You cant or at least I dont think you can vent or blow up a cell on discharge....Only when charging or shorted out with a charge in it. These two things are caused by putting to much in the cells to fast....Venting comes first and then the explosion once the force overcomes the vent's!

Actually you can have a NiMH cell rapidly disassemble while discharging or charging. If the cell has an internal failure such as a blocked vent, the heat built up can cause the cell to disassemble rapidly. It is a similar principal to how rockets operate.

I have seen this happen on two occasions; once when the NiMH cell had an internal short of a charged cell and second in a charge state but most likely the cell tried to vent and WHAM!
