Default Boutique Battery and Motor Companies - Who is your favorite?

With the flood of boutique motor and battery companies coming into the rc market who is your favorite?

To name a few:

- Team Kwik
- Full Throttle Motorsports
- Team Express
- Team Brood
- EA Motorsport
- Promatch
- And the list goes on...

I've had great luck with Team Brood motors and batteries...

Will these small battery and motor companies end the big battery companies dominance in the battery and motor industry???

No, because they truly don't make a product, they sell a service.

Team Br00d rocks. Awesome customer services!

From what I understand the batteries they sell are matched by SMC. They do all their motor work. And they are great!

I've had hit and miss luck with promatch overtime. They are good. But I would rather my business go to one shop who does both motors and batteries.

Just got my first order from Brood. Had some hiccups, but Garrett is excellent to work with and took care of the issues. He provided great customer service as soon as the error was found and that is what will bring me back to Brood after this.

Only ever done business with Team Brood, great service, product and more than happy to help you out with any special requests if they can. Always had quick turn around for emails/pm's as well esp from Peter, which scores extra brownie points in my book

RaceDayRC for batteries for me and I have been getting HP from Axiom lately for my 19t motors. RaceDay is a local matcher that truely matches his own cells. I run nothing but his cells and he has great customer service if there is a problem which there seldom is. I have been buyin HP from Axiom lately. I wanted to try a Tuner 19t Komodo and gave Axiom a try. I have ordered two more since!! With his HP and Racedays cells I got some serious power under the body of my sedans!!

I would say that I wouldn't hesitate to pay for a product from everyone of those companies. I have dealt with almost all of them in one way or another and I can say that they are all a pleasure to work with.

I also wanted to thank you for including Full Throttle in the mix. We are a small but up and coming company we wouldnt be here without the great nucleas of team drivers and help from alot of the companies that you have right on that list. Bottom line is that you can't go wrong with any of those companies. (and of course they aren't the only ones LOL)

Harris RC, www.harrisrc.com.au

Great batteries and does EA motors for an outstanding price.

Add to that great customer service and you have a great company.

I've had good experiences buying batteries (SMC) and motors through br00d, and motors and PRS gears through EA. A lot of the "boutique" companies are providing a similar service with a different label. I'd pick one that not only has a good track record with performance and customer service, but is also active in the R/C community. There's more than a few matchers that seem to do nothing more than exploit R/C for financial gain without giving much back. Find a company that is nice to you online, answers questions, and is generally involved with improving R/C. Those are the guys that deserve your business the most.
