Exclamation GWS receiver reviews NEEDED

Has anyone used a "GWS R4P II 4ch PICO Receiver 75mhz FM" before? is it any good? recommended? i was thinking of a cheap alternative to put into my Tmaxx to replace the horrible rtr radio system. I wanted to use the GWS with my Futaba transmitter. I shelled out enough money for Futaba receivers already and thought maybe i could get a cheap one. another question is that Futaba recommend using their crystals, would it be much of a difference if i use a different brand but with the same band? are there problems? your comments would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I used these receivers in my electric 3d airplanes. The receiver is good for small planes/helicopters but I dont think they were designed for cars (frequency and fragile design). The receivers would "glitch" when flying indoors with other people. I would look for a Hitec DCX reciever or something of that nature. They are low in cost and pretty durable. BTW, the GWS receivers use a micro crystal from GWS. Good luck.

so far, no glitching yet. I was only testing it inside my house and I also did a range test outside with my antenna down, about 100 feet before the receiver start to pick up some noise. it worked perfectly fine with antenna up.
I'm going to build a custom mini-z and a 18t if you want to know.
The receiver is Tune for 75MHZ FM ground freq, who use 4,6 and 8 channels you ask? the robot guys.
BTW I'm using a 3PK w/Synth
