Default Tamiya Gears

Hi all,

I've got a question about Tamiya pinion and spur gears.

Is Tamiya's "04 module" the same as "48 pitch"? The 04 module gears come standard in Tamiya kits (i think?) but I want to buy some 48 pitch pinions. Will they work? or will I have to buy either Tamiya 04 pitch pinions or 48 pitch spurs to go with the 48 pitch pinions?

if the latter is the case, would I be better off buying 64 pitch spurs and pinions?

also, what is a good aray of gears to start off with?
