Default The Barracuda and the Pro 4

Seeing that every car and their grandmother has alumminum bulkheads EXCEPT for the Pro 4, I have a dilemma. The fine folks over at HPI have all but forgotten about the Pro 4 (Cyclone is a nice car ), but I am looking to get aluminum bulkheads. Reading on the boards, it is known that the Pro 4 was built to be like the cuda, so any idea if they share anything outside of the internal gear ration? HPI has already stated that they are not going to build aluminum bulkheads (big up to Tamiya, EVO 5), so any info on compatible parts would be appreciated.

As a former Pro 4 owner I am dissapointed to hear that HPI will not continue that line. Or is that true??? Not sure about the Barracuda compatibility.

Default I have been getting mixed messages

I called HPI directly and inquire about aluminum bulkheads (they look totally sick onthe EVO 5), they tell me THEIR designers don't do that while the desingers for HOT BODIES do. They tell me there is no plan on discontinuing the vehicle, but if you go to the website, not only is the Pro 4 discontinued, but so is the Hara edition. Sucks to the high heavens considering I just bought my car less than three months ago. Should've stayed strictly nitro

Now, I spend money like the next fella, but Tamiya cars and parts run a grip! And that whole metric thing, kind of a turn-off.

Well, I didnt want to go there, but thanks for doing it. I remember going to bruckner hobbies back in my TL-01 days, and they had zip for Tamiya. Not even something that made me aspire for more (I think the TRF414 was the rage). In any event, you hit it on the head with the NO Tamiya support in NY.

Why don't you just save up and get a JRXS Type-R. The pro4 is ordinary by todays standards

Parts support for the Pro 4 should continue to be really good - the Cyclone uses the uprights and arms, pivot blocks, etc. Plenty of them are still floating around that the graphite parts should be easy to find for years.
