Default out of round comm?

How do you fix a out of round comm?Do you just cut it on a lathe untill its fixed or do you have to buy a new one?

Assuming the comm is over 0.270" in diameter at it's smallest (most worn portion of the brush track), it should be possible to true it up on a comm lathe. If it's less than that, there isn't enough copper left to allow it to be trued, and it will have to be replaced...

1st step it to keep cuttin it with a permanant marker, if not, your armature culd be bent some how.

Remember to cut a bit at a time. If you try to take off a big chunk it will pull off all the copper coat. If that isn't what has already happened.

I have been cutting it with a perminant marker and will make sure to keep it over .270.I was just wondering how to fix it if i did happen.It hassent happened yet-knock on wood
