Default What do i need to make a motor cooler

Can anyone tell me what supplies i might need to make one of these peltier motor coolers?

peltier chip, wire, heatsink, some kind of way to clamp it to the motor, and thermal adhesive.

Does cooling the motor before a race give a preformance boost or something?

It is suppose to keep the motor cooler for a longer period of time during the run. Meaning losing less power and top end on the latter minutes of a run. I am told that is the purpose. If I am wrong someone will correct my misunderstanding.

Well... If that's the point of a motor cooler, I have an idea for a hillbilly disposable motor cooler. We just need a ton of ice and a cooler. What would happen to a motor submerged in a bath of liquid nitrogen?

when we run outdoors, a friend of mine secures a piece of dry ice to his motor. hes been doing it for years!

I've heard of dry ice but have no idea where to get it nearby my area.
