i agree... here is a bump to help get it to the next page...

i did hear some talk of the lack of traction, but like it has been mentioned before, everyone was on the same track. i dont think it was the Gripper either, since Scotty has been using that for a couple years at his races, with no problems...

awesome race, for sure!!!! quote i got for the week..... " my cahr... ees sheet...."

Nash should know how to post pictures by now

The carpet looked like that right off the truck, has nothing to do with glue or a conspiracy.

Suggestions:
  • AAA Mains
  • Run all rubber tire classes 2 runs, then all foam classes 2 runs on practice days
  • More Open Practice, less practice by heat
  • No Nash Racer Allowed

I like all the suggestions *except* ...More Open Practice ...I don't like open practices at large races like this, makes it to hectic to have 12th scale stock, 12th mod, TC mod foam, TC stock rubber, TC 19, etc.. all on the track at the same time ...my opinion of course.

Fully agree here. Running mod foam with stock rubber cars or similar comparisons just results in a mess and broken parts for the most part. However I think the little bit of open practice at the beginning of the day was really good to put some traction down.

You can have structured open practice like at the Novak Race, one hour devoted to each class, and you just keep rotating classes.

You guys just don't want to run with Nash

Well then what's the difference? ...other than you don't have a "set time" and if you get in line and the hour clock runs out before your turn you don't get your 5 minutes of practice on that go around

Hahaha, you caught us . Who would want to run with nash? .

I like the controlled heats over the Novak style because you know exactly when you're going to be up. You don't have to wait in line for an hour and possibly miss the round like Harsh mentioned, and you can make sure your tires and pack is prepped just like it will be for the race. You may get less total practice with this method but I think the practice you get is way more meaningful. After being at races with both styles I much prefer the practice heats .
