Nice race Jeff. Congrats on your win, and that was some smart driving at the end of that race. See you in Cleveland.

I had terrible luck the whole weekend like many others, I loved the race, but hated the place. I would be willing to pay a little more if It was closer to the strip action or at least in old vegas. My first Scotty run race and it was like being part of something actually professional. Thumbs up.

Boomer said it was probably the AC and fact that it was on a concrete floor emitting cold air as well. I though the chapped lips was just me but now that the rest of you bring it up, it was bad. I didn't have issue with the nosebleed and sinus headaches for I live in a dry climate anyhow here in UT. I honestly want to consider running foam next year if the traction is gonna be as bad as it was this year. I guess I was spoiled with how well it was last year.

Either way I think the AC/HVAC system they had sucked all the moisture out of the air and in return sucked all the traction compound out of the track. I had to wet my sponge for my soldering iron 2 times a day and everyone that I talked to had chapped lips or dry skin. The temp in the room would change so fast and you could feel the air moving as soon as the AC kicked on....the room would go from like 75deg to 69deg in minutes....then back up an or so hour later. When the room would start to heat up the traction would get higher but as soon as the AC would kick you would almost watch the groove go away. Some people say it was because the use of 2 stage foam tires that made the groove/traction so low. I don’t know as I have never seen that happen before but there were a lot of 2 stage tires run at this race. I don’t think any other traction compound would have worked any better in the condition and it was the same for everyone.....some just adapted faster then others.
All in the All the race was great.....the hotel service and location could have been better in my book.

Luckily I didn't have any nosebleeds, but I sure had an over-abundance of petrified boogers lodged in my nose!
