Are there any special things we need to do when shipping our stuff to the Hotel? other than ATTN: etc???

My brother just went to the world champs for RC planes in Romania and he had to check his radio, planes and batteries but he could bring his laptop and cell phone on the plane. So I guess that you can bring some electronic devices on board the plane with you.
